When David Rolfe asked me about photographing his daughter, Eleanor's upcoming wedding I was not only confused that he had a daughter old enough to get married... I guess his girls were still little kids in my mind. The last time I saw them all together was over 12 years ago! But I was also thrilled and flattered that they had thought of me. I worked at the WS Journal with David for 10 years and had always admired his work. Then when I met with Eleanor and she had thought of having her entire wedding shot with BW film. I knew this was the right gig for me. I had started shooting primarily BW weddings ten years ago, but the digital world had swallowed me up and quite honestly.. the digital quality in most cases is great for BW work. I did shoot a few rolls of BW film and wonder if they will be able to pick those images out from the digital BW. My sample gallery is all BW just for Eleanor.
