Bring on 2012!

Well January has been a slooooww month for work. But good time to start up on some new projects. Our little documentary team consisting of myself, Phoebe Zerwick and Michelle Johnson, began the second segment of "Story of my life"- a look at the lives of mentally disabled adults living in group homes under the umbrella of Group home of Forsyth, our non-profit partner for the project.

So meet John. John is 60+ years old and has been living in a group home for the past 13 years. John is incredibly detailed oriented, a true gentleman and smiles at the drop of a hat. It has been a true pleasure to get to know these folks and I have learned more about the simplicity of life through their eyes.

I've also had the opportunity to be one of the photographers with Project Pearl, a non-profit recue group that works with the Forsyth Animal shelter to find homes for dogs and cats.
